As you define your business requirements it may be necessary to build add on
modules for your learning solution that is specific to your business needs. It has
always been Operitel’s philosophy to build configurable solutions but sometimes
this is not possible. At Operitel we classify these requirements into the
following three categories:
- Integration: This is when you need Operitel to build a translator that
will allow your current IT infrastructure to communicate with your LearnFlex™
learning solution.
- Feature Enhancement: This is when your requirements exceed the
functionality of a specific LearnFlex™ module. Generally we will work with you to
enhance LearnFlex™ in order to achieve this goal. On occasion, if your requirement
is too extensive, we would suggest that it be handled like a new feature.
- New Feature: This is when you have a requirement to build something that
is not included as a feature within the LearnFlex™ system. This item will be
handled differently depending on its inclusion in the LearnFlex™ future roadmap.
Generally it is suggested that the new feature be built outside of the LearnFlex™
solution and then be integrated back in through a variety of methods. If over time
your feature becomes mainstream it may be added to the LearnFlex™ roadmap and then
redeveloped within the LearnFlex™ solution.
Operitel will ensure that all software development clearly follows the software
development and quality assurance processes defined within Operitel that are used
to build the LearnFlex™ LMS.
